The opening number represents the size of a book or paper sheet, and is based on full-sheet paper. It is cut or folded into small pieces of the same size, which is called the number of copies or the number of opening. If the full sheet of paper is cut into 16 small sheets of the same size, each sheet is called 16 sheets of paper; cutting into 32 sheets is called 32 sheets of paper. A book equivalent to 16 sheets of paper is called a 16-page book. Similarly, a book equivalent to 32 sheets of paper is called 32-page book.
